The
Waiver
Everyone signs one before their first climb. Here's what it is, when you do it, and how to get it out of the way fast.
Not final — pending review
This page is a draft prepared for Climb Anytime. It has not yet been reviewed or approved by El Dorado Social Ventures, Inc. or by its legal counsel, and it must be reviewed before launch. Nothing here should be relied on as a final statement of the company's policy or as legal advice.
Reviewers: anything that could not be verified against the live system or the venue's documented operations has been deliberately left out rather than guessed at. Gaps are marked in the text.
Draft prepared July 2026
This page is not the waiver. It explains the requirement and what to expect. The waiver itself is completed in person at the front desk, and nothing on this page signs it for you or replaces it.
Why there is a waiver
Climbing and bouldering carry inherent risk. Holds spin, feet slip, people fall, and a climbing wall is a place where that is expected rather than unusual. Our walls are maintained, our staff monitor the floor, and belayers work the ropes — but no gym can remove the risk, and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise.
The waiver is how we make sure every person on the wall has been told that plainly and has acknowledged it before they start. It is standard practice at climbing gyms, and it is a condition of climbing here.
When you do it
On your first visit, at the front desk, before you climb. Scan the QR code at the desk and it walks you through registration and the waiver on your phone. It takes a few minutes.
After that first time you are on file: members check in automatically with their QR code, and returning climbers just give their name at the desk. You do not repeat the waiver on every visit.
Booking online does not do this for you. A booking holds your spot; the waiver is separate and happens at the venue.
First time climbing? You also get an orientation
Every first-time climber gets a safety orientation from staff before getting on the wall — how to use the equipment, how to fall, how the area works. No experience is needed and there is nothing to prepare. Staff monitor the climbing area throughout your session, and you can ask them anything at any point.
Climbing with children
Kids climb here, on the same walls, at the same rate as adults.
A young climber cannot complete a waiver for themselves, so a parent or guardian needs to be involved in registering them. The gym sets the specifics — the age at which that applies, who has to be present, and what supervision is required while a child is climbing. Please ask at the front desk, or contact us before you travel, so you know exactly what is needed for your group.
How to make it quick
- Bring your phone — the QR registration runs on it.
- Arrive a few minutes early on your first visit so the waiver and orientation do not eat into your session.
- Bring socks. They are required with rental shoes. If you forget, the front desk has you covered.
- Everyone climbing registers. If you are coming as a group, allow time for each first-time climber to go through it.
- Tell staff anything relevant. An injury, a recent surgery, a condition affected by exertion — a quiet word at the desk means we can look after you properly.
If you do not complete it
You will not be able to get on the wall, even with a confirmed booking. There is no way around this one — it applies to everybody, every time, for the first visit.
Your data
The front-desk registration and waiver are handled at the venue and are separate from your online account. How we handle the personal data you give this website is set out in our privacy notice; the general terms for booking online are in our terms of use.
